Lavender london fog drink10/30/2023 Lavender Essential Oil: I use Young Living’s Vitality line for any oils I ingest. Sweetener: I prefer using THM’s Gentle Sweet. More like a tea flavoured dessert than a thirst-quenching drink, it sometimes includes vanilla ice cream instead of steamed or frothed milk. It adds a bit of creaminess without any extra fat. A London Fog Frappuccino is basically a frozen, blended Earl Grey Tea Latte. In a medium bowl, whisk together the AP flour, 1 tbsp of the tea, baking powder and salt. Strain the tea through a fine-mesh sieve, and chill the tea infused cream until completely cold (1-1.5 hrs) Prep the cake: Heat the oven to 350 degrees. ![]() Milk: My favorite milk to use in the recipe is cashew milk. I love Bigelow’s Earl Grey Tea. Do what you feel comfortable with! What I used in my Lazy London Fog: I personally feel okay doing this every once in a great while. I totally understand that ingesting oils is not for everyone. How to cook: Brew and steep tea as directed, for 3-5 minutes, then remove tea bag. I chose to dip a toothpick in the oil and swirl it through the tea for my hint of lavender. 1/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, heated 20-30 seconds in microwave (any plant milk will work) Optional garnish: culinary lavender. This is an oil made specifically for ingesting. In this recipe, I chose to use Young Living’s Lavender Vitality Oil. Okay, let’s talk about a simple lavender hack. I’ve made this a one step recipe, no steaming milk required. If you’re a native-Londoner, look away! I’ve taken a few liberties with this recipe (haha!). Traditional London Fogs are made with steamed milk and at times, dried lavender. This recipe is a perfect example of that! Strain out the tea (or remove the tea bags), and whisk in the honey until fully dissolved. (If you're using the lavender, add it with the tea). Pour the boiling water over the tea, and let it steep for 7 minutes. Thankfully, making your favorite fancy drinks at home doesn’t have to be a hassle. Place the tea (or tea bags) in a 2 or 4-cup glass measuring cup (or a small pitcher).
